About Us

The Coalition for Psychedelic Safety and Education (CPSE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing public education and shaping responsible, evidence-based public policy.

The founders, deeply affected by the personal losses of family members due to adverse events involving psychedelics, were driven to address the critical and unmet need for accurate, evidence-based information and harm reduction strategies.

CPSE brings together researchers, healthcare providers, educators, veterans, mental health advocates, and safety experts to advocate for a safer, regulated approach to psychedelics. We seek to promote balanced messaging and robust public education, ensuring that individuals can make informed decisions and that policies reflect the latest scientific research and best practices.

Why we want to reframe the conversation.

Everyone benefits from reframing the conversation about psychedelics to a more balanced perspective.

Families who have lost loved ones due to psychedelics and want to prevent more harms.

Young Scientist

Research scientists who have made important clinical advances using certain psychedelics for mental health and don’t want to see the work shut down again due to harms.

Together Again

Veterans’ groups that are seeing harms among their constituents due to self-medicating and want vets to be informed and supported for optimal outcomes.

Signing Contract

Ethicists who believe that people should have accurate and unbiased information on risks and benefits to make informed decisions.
